Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of our AI-based autonomy systems, ensuring they are supported by robust, reliable, and high-performance electronics.

Tasks
  • Digital and Analog Electronic Design: Cooperate in the design and development of electronic systems for spacecraft, including computational devices, power electronics, communication interfaces, and sensor integration, with a focus on reliability and performance in space environments and ensuring designs meet stringent radiation tolerance and thermal management requirements.

  • Testing and Validation: Cooperate in the definition of rigorous testing protocols, including environmental testing (thermal, vibration, radiation) to validate the functionality and reliability of electronic systems in space conditions.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. Ensure all designs comply with relevant space industry standards and regulations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in space electronics. Propose and implement improvements in design processes, tools, and technologies.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience:    3+ years of proven work experience in the space industry with a focus on space-grade components selection, radiation-hardened/radiation-tolerant designs, and environmental testing for space applications.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Experience in electronic circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, etc.).

    • Experience with PCB design, layout, and fabrication processes.

    • Strong understanding of space environment challenges, including radiation effects, thermal management, and EMC/EMI considerations.

    • Experience with tests and certifications for space applications.

    • Familiarity with communication protocols, both low-speed (e.g., CAN, I2C, SPI) and high-speed (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, USB 2.0/3.x).

    • Knowledge of smallsats-specific communication interfaces (e.g., Spacewire, Spacefiber) and protocols (e.g., CSP, CCSDS).

    • Familiarity with power electronics in space applications.

    • Familiarity with industry standards such as ECSS, MIL-STD, ESA and NASA standards.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems and resolve design challenges in high-stakes environments.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams.

  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in AI-oriented Use Cases: Previous experience in designing electronics for AI-oriented computational platforms, particularly in autonomous vehicles or spacecraft, is a plus.

  • Software Skills: Programming skills (e.g., C/C++) for scripting, automation, and interfacing with hardware is a plus.
